Grassroots Motorsports Magazine & Mazda USA join forces to promote the Mitty & MazdaFest at Road Atlanta
(April 25, 2008) – Road Atlanta will again host “The Mitty” presented by Classic Motorsports Magazine and Mazda on May 2-4. The event will also play host to MazdaFest, the east coast’s largest gathering of Mazdas, from legendary RX7’s to Miatas and everything in between.

Kyle Mohan stuns Formula Drift Long Beach with run to Final Four |

April 15, 2008 (Signal Hill, Calif.) – Long Beach native Kyle Mohan surprised everyone in the Formula Drift paddock – including himself – to advance his privately-entered Mazda RX-7 into the Final Four of Sunday’s opening round of the Formula Drift Pro Championship, held on the streets of Long Beach.

TOP STORY: Mazda2 Wins World Car of the Year |

HIROSHIMA, Japan—The Mazda2 is the 2008 World Car of the Year (WCOTY). From an initial entry list of thirty-nine (39) new vehicles from all over the world, the overall 2008 WCOTY title was announced today (Thursday, March 20, 2008) at the New York International Auto Show. The Mazda2 (known as the Mazda Demio in Japan) edged out the Ford Mondeo and Mercedes-Benz C-Class to take the overall award.

Tri-Point Starts 2008 Season Strong With Two Top-Five Finishes in Sebring |

The Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Presented by Fresh From Florida weekend marked the beginning of both the 2008 SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car season as well as Tri-Point’s year-long quest to defend their 2007 championship titles. Charles Espenlaub, piloting the #73 MAZDA6, narrowly missed the podium in 4th place. Defending champion Jeff Altenburg crossed the line a half-second later to claim the 5th position. In his Touring Car debut 2007 MX-5 Cup Champion Jason Saini was the third Mazda to take the checkered flag in 9th place.

Robert Davis Racing racks up four more NASA victories |

Robert Davis Racing (RDR) enjoyed a successful race weekend with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) at California Speedway on March 21st and 22nd. The team swept the Performance Touring (PT) D class on both Friday and Saturday and added Performance Touring B and C class wins on Saturday.
